The Village utilizes a ditch and culvert operation. All rainwater is diverted towards outlets which lead into Lake Michigan. While some communities have combined stormwater and sanitary sewer systems, Bayside's are completely separate. Part of the regular maintenance of the stormwater system includes:

• 621 Pond maintenance
• Ellsworth Park Pond maintenance
• Culvert replacement and repair
• Drainage grading
• Water pump maintenance
• Village Hall Pond maintenance

Residents are responsible for the maintenance and replacement of driveway culverts. A culvert permit is required prior to beginning culvert repair/replacement work.
