Short Term Rentals - Tourist Rooming Houses

The Village of Bayside requires homeowners to complete an application to rent out their home for temporary stays.  All applicants must adhere to Municipal Code Section 26-121.

Duration:

Each tourist rooming house license issued by the Village of Bayside expires June 30 of each year.

License dates run July 1 to June 30 of the following year.

Renewal applications and fees for existing establishments shall be submitted to the Village Clerk’s office before May 31 each year to ensure the permit be issued by July 1.

Your application must also include the following items:

  • The WI Seller’s Permit must be provided when this application is submitted.
  • Current floor plan for the Tourist Rooming House at a minimum scale of one inch equals 4 feet.
  • Site Plan of the property at a minimum scale of one inch equals 10 feet showing on-site parking spaces and trash storage.
  • List of all property that may be used by the tenant.
  • Proof of valid property and liability insurance with occurrence coverage of at least $1 million.
  • Comprehensive General Liability of $2 million in the aggregate for the Tourist Home.
  • State of WI Tourist Rental House License.
  • Proof of compliance with ATCP 14.
  • Permit Issued by North Shore Health Department.
