myBlue Police Trading Card Program

Bayside Police Department announces a community connection program called "myBlue Trading Cards". Part of the myBlue initiative, the program promotes long lasting and positive relationships between Bayside Police Officers and the youngest stakeholders of the community - its children.

HOW IT WORKS

Kids can begin their collection by stopping any Bayside Police Officer who will have packets of four trading cards featuring pictures and biographies of police officers. As kids assemble their collection, the first 10 children who collect all 15 cards will have a choice of several grand prizes. "Instant winner" cards are also inside many of the packets and those cards can be redeemed at Village Hall for several fun prizes, such as ice cream cones, small cakes, rides in police cars, or burgers from the program's main sponsor, Sobelman's Pub!

The goal of the program is to enhance the communication and trust placed in the police officers by families and their children. The Police Department expects a direct result of this personal, one-on-one interaction with the police officer to be an increased trust by children (and parents) who live in Bayside.

WHO CAN PLAY?

Children in kindergarten through eighth grade are the focus of the program, but younger children can play also. Parents and their children will be encouraged to respond to police officers who may approach them. Remember to wave and visit with the police officer to get your packet of cards - the officer may approach you as well!

PRIZES AND DEADLINES

Instant winner prizes can be redeemed for Baskin Robins Ice Cream, Nothing Bundt Cake small desserts, Sobelman's burgers, MinuteMan Press tote bags, Lou Malnati's Pizza coupons, Police Car Ride-to-School coupons, and more.

Grand Prize winners can select a pool party at the Courtyard Marriot in Brown Deer, a Police Officer Ride-along with lunch, sporting even tickets, retail gift cards, a family dinner at Sobelman's, family pizza dinner at Lou Malnati's, and more!

All prizes can be redeemed at Village Hall Monday through Friday until 4:00 PM. The contest ends February 7.
