The first step in the process will be for DPW crews to mark driveways and perform driveway saw cuts for properties having culverts replaced or removed as a high point. Driveway markings will begin next Monday, May 20, and entail crews making a mark with pink spray paint on both sides of your driveway. If you envision a line across your driveway connecting the two points, this is where the driveway will be cut and apron removed.
Once all driveways are marked, DPW crews will begin the saw cutting. While all impacted driveways will be marked, driveway aprons on Meadowlark will be removed the week of June 3 while driveway aprons on Tennyson will be removed in late June. During this stage, crews will remove the driveway apron and fill in with gravel. Your driveway apron will be gravel throughout the rest of the process until the road is resurfaced, which is scheduled for mid to late August. The crew will create a smooth transition between your existing driveway pavement and gravel apron to limit wear and tear on your vehicle. Driveway marking and cutting should take approximately one (1) week, weather dependent.
